Sojourny ("we", "our", "the app") is a collaborative travel trip planning app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.
Account information — When you sign up we store your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
Trip data — Trips, segments (flights, hotels, activities, etc.), notes, and files you create or upload.
Location data — Place names and coordinates you add to segments. The app does not track your live location.
Airport comments — Comments you post on airport pages are visible to all users.
Files — Documents and images you upload to segments are stored in Firebase Storage.
Usage and diagnostics — We automatically collect crash reports, performance data, and anonymous usage analytics to improve app stability and understand how features are used. This includes device type, operating system version, app version, and error stack traces. It does not include trip content or personal messages.
We use the following services, each with their own privacy policies:
Your trip data is shared only with collaborators you explicitly invite. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
All data is stored in Google Firebase infrastructure. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to trip data is restricted through Firestore security rules to trip owners and invited participants.
Your data is kept as long as your account exists. You can delete individual trips and segments at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, see our account deletion instructions.
Sojourny is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or your data, contact us at contact@sojourny.app.
